What weather should we expect in Charleston in October?

Late October in Charleston is usually beautiful, with warm days and cooler evenings by the water. Cocktail hour will be held outdoors, while the remainder of the reception will take place indoors. We recommend checking the forecast closer to the wedding weekend and bringing a light wrap for the evening.

Where should guests stay?

Hotel block information and accommodation recommendations can be found in the "Travel" section of our website. We encourage guests to book early, as October is a particularly beautiful and busy season in Charleston.

May I bring a guest?

Due to venue limitations, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally included on your invitation. We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we celebrate this special occasion with our closest family and friends.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM. We kindly ask that guests arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony and seated by 2:50 PM.

Is there parking available?

There is no parking available directly at the venue. Fortunately, Charleston is a very walkable city, weather permitting, and the church and reception venue are approximately a five-minute walk from one another. We encourage guests to enjoy a stroll through the city between events. If you prefer not to walk, Uber, Lyft, and Charleston's bicycle rickshaws are all readily available transportation options.

What is the dress code?

We kindly request that all guests wear black tie attire for both the ceremony and reception. As our ceremony will take place in a cathedral, we respectfully ask that guests ensure their shoulders are covered while inside. If your attire leaves your shoulders bare, we recommend bringing a shawl, wrap, or light jacket.

What is black tie attire?

Black tie is a formal evening dress code. Gentlemen are requested to wear a tuxedo with a black bow tie, while ladies are encouraged to wear a floor-length gown or an elegant formal evening dress. We kindly ask guests to avoid cocktail attire, short dresses, casual fabrics, or daytime footwear.
